Abstract

Phishing attacks remain a pervasive threat to cybersecurity, posing significant risks to
organizations and individuals alike. This paper explores the landscape of phishing attacks and
investigates various tools, techniques, and user education strategies aimed at mitigating this
threat. Through a comprehensive review of literature and empirical evidence, the study identifies
key phishing attack vectors, analyzes common phishing techniques, and evaluates the
effectiveness of different mitigation approaches. The findings highlight the importance of a multilayered defense strategy, incorporating technical controls, user awareness training, and proactive
threat intelligence. By synthesizing insights from academic research and industry best practices,
